 Pastor Craig Beeker

"When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power."

1 Corinthians 2:1-5

Pastor Craig Beeker grew up near a small town in rural Ohio where he attended Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pemberville. It was in that church where he first sensed God's magnificient presence and love, and God's hold upon his life.

He attended Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in psychology and religion. He attended Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio. He completed a basic Clinical Pastoral Education at the Ohio State University Hospitals in Columbus, Ohio. In 1989 he graduated with a Master's of Divinity Degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California.

He served Trinity Lutheran Church in Manhattan Beach until 1993 when he was called to be our pastor.

He is married to Kristine and has three children: Jacob, Samuel, and Zechariah. They enjoy traveling, snow skiing, reading, and spending time together.

Pastor Craig Beeker is in the office Sunday-Thursday. He can be reached at the church office, 805-497-4888. Outside of office times, please contact him via e-mail at  wlcpastor@verizon.net .

"In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage-- with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry."

2 Timothy 4:1-5
